One of my favorite things to do is head down to the beach with a sun hat, a good book and a cool drink.
I am currently reading a great book called "Into the Silence" The great war, Mallory and the conquest of Everest. It is by Wade Davis. It is a fascinating read about World War One and the British adventurers who survived the trenches to then risk their lives climbing Mount Everest.
Its a fairly dense read full of history and the mapping of the Himalayan Frontier. For every mountaineer who made it to the top of even on the mountain many lost their lives fighting in the war.
The beach is the perfect place to rest. read and fill your mind with far away places. Enjoy!
