Set in a picture perfect oceanfront setting, the gala will feature beautiful art, delectable food and drink, musical entertainment and coastal conservation highlights when the Surfrider Foundation San Diego County Chapter hosts our 11th Annual Art Gala at The Powerhouse in Del Mar on Thursday May 19th.
Attendees of this environmentally inspired event will enjoy silent and live auctions of unique ocean-themed artwork from renowned local and national artists, in addition to one-of-a-kind surfboards. Recent featured artists include Andy Davis, Jason Samarin, Wade Koniakowsky, Jeff Yeomans, Neil Bociek, Jay Alders, Josh Agle (Shag), Stephen King, Donald Miralle, Skye walker, Seth Thompson, Kevin Roche, Susan Wickstrand-Roche, Myles McGuiness, Robb Havassy and many more. Last year Wade Koniakowsky painted a piece live at the event that was auctioned later in the evening. Food was provided by Jimbo’s….Naturally and Yapo’s Home Catering, fine wine from Barefoot Wineries and San Diego’s best beer from Stone Brewing Co.
